Musngi developed an interest in developing his voice. In his home province back then, there is no television and often listened to the radio. Musngi said that he initially imitated the voice he hears on the radio before developing his own voice over style. He also read newspapers aloud as part of honing his voice. He has cited Joonee Gamboa as one of his inspirations in developing his voice over talent.
